Director’s Notes
One session. The brief, the take, the next change.
Build a repeatable music brief. This prepares the text and settings you transfer into Suno. It does not generate a track. Start with a complete example, then change what you can hear.
How to use this
- Choose your starting point
Load a preset. Choose New for a text-led track or On audio for a reference; describe what the reference must keep.
- Write the three fields
Style describes the sound. Exclude lists unwanted elements. Lyrics contains section cues or your own words. Resolve the failures shown beside the payload.
- Make one take, then one change
Copy each field into its matching Suno box and set the sliders manually. Save the session; create a next take from it before changing one variable.
Try this: Load Audio lament. Read the sparse Verse and wider Chorus cues, then inspect the matching change in Style. For a second take, change only Audio Influence from 80 to 70.
You should get: The first session copies a complete brief. The next take reports one actual setting difference; choosing a label alone does not hide other edits.
Know the limit: Sound is not guaranteed. The checker catches structural mistakes, not every artist name or every weak musical idea. Audio stays in Suno; local sessions stay in this browser.
Study harmony in CadenceNew starts without audio. On audio starts with what to keep. Changing Job loads its starting sliders and Exclude pack.

01 / Session brief
Keep the spine. Name the change.
Style
Four clauses. One deliberate clash. Keep the sound objects specific.
426/1000 · aim for 280–700 charactersClause guide & optional helpers
[concept: emotion + time clash]; [production: mic distance, defects, tape or room]; [5–7 named sound objects, one that should not belong]; [vocal or Instrumental], [groove and BPM], [verse density] widening into [chorus change].
Helpers edit clause 4 only when it does not already name that value. They never travel as extra payload fields.
Idea drawer · off until you open it
Scratch space only. Nothing here rewrites Style or enters the payload.

The original Audio lament line
Lament with an anachronistic autonomic feel; stark close-miked production, abrupt dropouts and dusty tape coloration; primitive keyboard with dry finger noise, hollow log percussion, irregular machine-like stone strikes, flickering analog synth pulses, dial-up modem harmonies and distant monastic choir; instrumental, slow lurching groove, sparse claustrophobic verses widening into a ritual-lament chorus.
The session preset adds 60 BPM as an editable starting point and explicit no-vocal cues. No new listening result is claimed.
Exclude
Add an exclusion pack
Lyrics
This is Suno’s Lyrics field, including instrumental cues.
411/5000 · aim below 3000Keep “instrumental, no vocals” in Style and [no vocal] as the first cue. English needs no language prefix. Other languages belong in each cue.
Section builder
Editing a row updates its cue and keeps the words underneath it. Rows without a performance line and without words are omitted. Edit free-form directions in the Lyrics field if they do not fit the builder.
Settings · set these by hand in Suno
Starting points, not winners. Weirdness is not the clash; your brief already contains it.
How to move the dials
Leave Variety at 0 while finding a keeper. Move Weirdness about 10 points at a time. Do not move Audio Influence in the same take. Try Style Influence around 75–85 for a specific brief; 100 can make competing directions fight.
On audio starts at Weirdness 15 / Style 80 / Audio 80. Letting the brief take over starts at 25 / 85 / 45. Explore after a keeper starts a separate v6-wild session at 55 / 40, Variety 40, retaining Audio Influence and turning Max Mode off. These are AUWEN starting suggestions, not measured success rates.
Max Mode is worth considering for close covers, longer songs and consistency across the track.
02 / The session card
Paste the three fields separately. Set the model and sliders by hand.
Prompt check
No blocking issues found.
The local name and object scans are heuristics, not exhaustive recognition. Check unfamiliar names yourself. Hyphenated sound descriptions are allowed; negative -tags belong in Exclude.Style

Verified against Suno’s v6 FAQ, model descriptions and Creative Sliders documentation. The 1,000 / 5,000 character caps are this editor’s working limits; your account’s current form is authoritative. Clause rules and cue checks are AUWEN drafting rules, not promises about model interpretation.
