I’m Johnny.
I make music, take photographs, travel, and spend a lot of time learning things. Field Notes is a place to put those interests together.
The five sections follow those interests: Earth for places and languages; Light for photography; Sound for music; Human for people and culture; Forge for code, engineering and making things.
What you’ll find here
Some pages are things I’ve made. Others are references, lessons or tools for working something out. A record can sit beside a language lesson. They belong here because they’re things I keep coming back to.
Guides include examples and references where available. A published lesson covers its stated topic; it does not mean the whole subject is finished. Tools describe their supported inputs and limits.
